MASERU – Team South Africa (SA) cheered most of their swimmers perfomance as they dominantly finished in top three spot.

Both U20 boys and girls seemed eager and energetic before the commence of the games during the official opening and welcoming ceremony of the AUSC Region 5 Maseru 2020  last week at Setsoto stadium.

However, some have to win or loose in competition, and SA’s efforts gave positive results.

Speaking with Maseru 2020 online , Jonathan Heslop said he enjoys the welcome in Lesotho as debut in the Region 5 Youth Games.

The 18 year old finished second in the finals of  100 meter back stroke fashion after showing an impressive performance in the preliminary stages where he qualified as first positioned.

Heslop said the high altitude is adaptive in his side due to his Pretorian background cool weather.

More action is expected today from 09:00am at Rapokolana center with a possible award giving ceremony.
